Aikido New London County is one year OLD

Crystal Aldrich Sensei, Aikido Sensei, Women in Aikido

Crystal Aldrich is the Chief Instructor and owner of Aikido New London County.

She is a devoted Aikido practitioner whose seventeen-year journey began with a traditional Japanese apprenticeship under the guidance of the late Richard Stickles Shihan of Aikido Schools of New Jersey. She served as his otomo (traveling apprentice) across the US and internationally for six years, honing her teaching skills and specializing in training beginners and children. Later, she worked with Jerry Zimmerman Shihan of Aikido North Jersey as his Program Director and dojo manager. Zimmerman Shihan provided her with the guidance and support to develop into the strong teacher she is today.

Crystal firmly believes that within each individual lies a spirit waiting to be refined and nurtured through the practice of Aikido, and she strives to make it accessible to all. Her inclusive approach and dedication make her an exceptional instructor and a source of inspiration in the Aikido community.

She currently holds the rank of Yondan, 4th degree black belt, and is a Fukushidoin (supporting teacher) certified by the International Aikido Federation and the United States Aikido Federation.
